Job Description: 

Food Services Officer

  • Afternoon Shift 1430 - 2000 Saturdays and Sundays
  • Ability to work extra afternoon shifts as required is highly desirable

Our friendly and professional Food Services Team at the Royal Melbourne Hospital- Royal Park Campus are looking for a Food Services Officer to join our team. Food Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by the organisations values of People First, Lead with Kindness and Excellence Together.

Key Accountabilities

·     Ability to liaise with patients and other Hospital departments within area of responsibility

·     Oversee Occupational Health and Safety issues as requested

·     Coordinate and monitor in conjunction with Unit Manager on quality issues like quality control and hygiene standards

·     Provide regular on the job training when requested and staff induction when requested

·     Assist with preparation of payroll; perform quality assurance activities and reports on a daily basis as directed

About You:

  • Certificate III in Health Services
  • Safe Food Handling Certificate for Health Industry or equivalent
  • Computer skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Commitment to ongoing development of Leadership skills
