The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Your Opportunity:
Food Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by patient centred care, unity, and respect.
Duties include:
- Prepare and deliver meals to patients
- Ensure a clean kitchen environment is maintained
- Liaise with team leaders and ward staff
- Use of chemicals
- Deliver and return of all trolleys, food items and utensils from kitchen, wards and other areas
- Stripping of all meal trays and separation of components ready for washing
- Operation of dishwashing
About You:
- Basic Food Handling Certificate
- Follow the departments food safety plan for complaince for audit ready.
- Excellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environment
- Ability to safely use catering equipment.Follow equipment operating procedures in use and knowledge of dismantle for cleaning.
- Participate in a roster and work in an allocated area and other areas as requested
