About the role
Royal Melbourne Hospital is the lead agency for Public Pathology Victoria (PPV), partnering with major Victorian health services to deliver integrated pathology services from July 2026.
We are seeking a Finance Business Partner to join the Business Services team in this newly established role supporting PPV.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will partner with laboratory, clinical, and executive stakeholders to provide high-quality financial insight, support strategic decision-making, and identify commercial and operational improvements across the pathology network.
You will deliver budgeting, forecasting, month-end reporting, and advanced financial analysis, while also supporting business case development, cost recovery, and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Accountabilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and reporting in line with RMH governance standards
- Deliver financial analysis, modelling, benchmarking, and insights to support decision-making
- Provide trusted business partnering and advice to executive, clinical, and operational stakeholders
- Develop business cases and identify opportunities for efficiency, improvement, and cost optimisation
- Analyse revenue, cost drivers, and cost recovery across services and partner organisations
- Monitor performance through KPI reporting and support service improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with financial controls, policies, and risk requirements
- Contribute to broader Business Services projects and team priorities as required
About You
- Qualified Accountant (CPA/CA/ACMA)
- Strong communication skills with proven stake holder engagement skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage large data, provide in depth analytics and tell the story.
- Solution-focused with the ability to work across multiple sites and stakeholders
