Family Safety Team Clinical Lead
Grade 4 Social Worker
- Help lead the peak team coordinating the hospital response for family safety
- Foster excellence in child protection and family safety in hospital social work practice

The Family Safety Team at Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) are the peak team within the hospital that coordinate the hospital response when assisting clients who are experiencing family violence. The family safety team are also responsible for the family violence clinical workflow with the electronic medical record, collecting and monitoring Family Violence data through the EMR system. The family safety team run a research and evaluation program with university partners that includes post graduate research students.
Your new role:
- Provide clinical excellence and leadership to the family safety team
- Be the peak contact regarding MARAM framework, Information Sharing Schemes and Child Safe Standards
- Oversee the development and implementation of specialist child safe and family safety training initiatives for staff across the hospital
- Assist with organisational, reporting requirements and implementation of Electronic Medical Record, information sharing and Child Safe standards, that pertain to family violence and hospital services.
About you:
- You have acute hospital experience with a collaborative working style
- You are a peer-recognised expert in child and family safety
- You have a minimum of 10 years relevant clinical experience with exemplary communication skills
- You are a natural leader and team player who is committed to team objectives
