About the role

As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you’ll play an important role in supporting patients on our Rehabilitation Ward, working alongside Registered Nurses and a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective and person-centred care.

You’ll support patients as they recover from injury, illness or surgery, helping them regain mobility, independence and confidence in everyday activities. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you’ll contribute to care planning, patient education and rehabilitation goals that help patients return to their usual activities and participate in the community.

The Rehabilitation Ward brings together medical, nursing and allied health professionals who work collaboratively to provide tailored care based on each patient’s individual needs and goals.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide safe, person-centred nursing care to patients and their families.
• Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to patient assessments, care planning and delivery of individualised care.
• Monitor patient progress, identify changes in needs and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Support patients, families and carers to achieve their rehabilitation goals and positive care outcomes.

About You

• Current Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA.
• At least 12 months’ acute or subacute experience, or 18 months’ aged or residential care experience.
• Strong clinical assessment, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
• Self-motivated, reliable and able to demonstrate initiative within your scope of practice.
