About the role
Join AC1, our 20-bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward at Royal Park, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people.
As an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse, you will provide person-centred care to older adults with complex physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs, working alongside Registered Nurses and a skilled multidisciplinary team. You will contribute to assessment, care planning, risk management and partnership with patients, families and carers.
This role is ideal for an Enrolled Nurse with experience in aged care, acute or subacute settings, strong communication skills and a genuine commitment to improving outcomes for older people.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide person-centred care to older adults with complex physical, cognitive and psychosocial needs.
- Work collaboratively with Registered Nurses and the multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to comprehensive patient assessments and individualised care planning.
- Support risk management and identify and escalate changes in patient needs.
- Partner with patients, families and carers to support positive care outcomes.
About You
You are an Enrolled Nurse who brings sound clinical skills, a collaborative approach and a commitment to supporting older people. You will have:
- Current Endorsed Enrolled Nurse registration with AHPRA.
- Experience in aged care, acute or subacute settings.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Commitment to person-centred care and The Melbourne Way
