Endorsed Enrolled Nurse (EEN) – Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM)

About the Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH):

RMH part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

Our Home First Ambulatory and Complex Care service is seeking an Endorsed Nurse to join our Geriatric Evaluation and Management subacute care team on ward Aged Care 1, which is a 20-bed ward.  We deliver physical and cognitive rehabilitation care for patients with chronic or complex conditions that are associated with ageing, cognitive dysfunction, or disability. We have a diverse patient cohort providing services to adults over the age of 65.

 

About the role:

  • Ideal opportunity for an Enrolled Nurse who has completed a Graduate Nurse Program or has at least 1 year of experience
  • Strong focus on delivering high quality, patient centred care
  • Work within a supportive team environment that encourages professional growth
  • Develop skills in geriatric care, including dementia and delirium management, rehabilitation, wound care and clinical assessment

About you:

  • Enrolled Nurses that are eligible to apply must have a minimum of 1 years acute or subacute experience
  • Registration as a medication endorsed Enrolled Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Hold a valid Victorian (employee) Working with Children's Check
  • Demonstrated commitment to high quality patient care
