About the Role

 

We are seeking a talented and motivated Biostatistician to join our Emergency Department Research Team.

 

Working closely with the Director of Emergency Medical Research, Research Coordinator, research nurses and clinician researchers, you will provide expert statistical support across a broad range of observational studies, clinical trials and quality improvement projects.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Collaborate with clinician researchers to develop study protocols and research methodologies
  • Design and write statistical analysis plans
  • Perform data cleaning, management and statistical analyses
  • Generate high-quality tables, figures and graphical outputs for presentations and publications
  • Contribute to manuscripts submitted to peer-reviewed journals
  • Support the delivery of ethically conducted high-quality clinical research
  • Work across a diverse portfolio of emergency medicine and trauma research projects.

 

About You

 

  • A PhD in Biostatistics
  • Advanced statistical computing skills using R and/or Stata
  • Experience collaborating with clinician researchers, ideally within clinical trials or emergency medicine research
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work independently
  • A commitment to research integrity, quality and continuous improvement
