Senior Dietitian - Diabetes and Endocrinology

The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. The Diabetes and Endocrinology service delivers world-leading clinical care, research and training. The service cares for inpatients and outpatients with a broad range of endocrine conditions, including diabetes, osteoporosis, pituitary disease and thyroid disease.
Your new role
The Clinical Nutrition department consists of approximately 45 staff across RMH sites. We provide care to our patients within the acute, subacute and community therapy services across all specialities. We operate a 7-day service.
The Grade 3 or 4 Senior Dietitian Endocrinology & Diabetes will liaise and collaborate closely with the Director and multidisciplinary staff of the Department of Diabetes and Endocrinology as well as the Manager of Clinical Nutrition and wider Allied Health teams. They will provide professional and clinical leadership and supervision around diabetes, endocrinology and internal medicine. They will act as a team leader for the junior clinicians working in these areas and provide direct clinical supervision of staff as required.

- Advanced clinical expertise in diabetes, endocrinology and complex internal medicine nutrition care
- Strong clinical leadership skills with experience supervising and mentoring dietitians
- Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centred practice
- Proven ability to contribute to service development, quality improvement and research
- Excellent communication, collaboration and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
- Dedicated to professional standards, clinical governance and staff wellbeing
