About the role

As the Data Integrity Officer, you will play an important role in supporting the quality, accuracy and integrity of mental health data across Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services. Working within the Information and Performance team, you will collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure high-quality data supports reporting, service planning and informed decision-making.

 

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to RMH's vision of becoming a digital health service by improving data quality, supporting Activity Based Funding (ABF) reporting requirements, and identifying opportunities to strengthen systems and processes. You'll join a collaborative team committed to using data and digital solutions to enhance mental health service delivery.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Support the mental health service in meeting its Activity Based Funding reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Perform routine data integrity activities including audits, reconciliation and validation, correcting errors identified along the way
  • Monitor, prioritise and resolve incoming helpdesk queries
  • Work directly with clinical, administrative and executive staff to resolve data integrity issues, building strong face-to-face working relationships
  • Maintain and correct data across multiple systems including iPM, Epic (EMR) and CMI
  • Deliver targeted in-person education, training and support to improve data integrity across teams
  • Assist the service in meeting its reporting obligations under the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022

 

About you

 

  • You have an understanding of key systems and data collection processes within health services
  • You enjoy working with people and are confident supporting and training staff at all levels
  • A commitment to live the Melbourne Way: putting people first, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together

Desirable

  • Intermediate or above data management skills
  • Knowledge of mental health specific data collections
  • Experience reviewing or auditing data and making corrections
