Data Integrity Officer – Mental Health Services

• Part-time (40 hours per fortnight), fixed-term opportunity based at Waratah Clinic.
• Support digital transformation and data quality across RMH Mental Health Services.
• Collaborate with clinicians and administrators to improve data integrity and reporting outcomes.

About the role:

Join our Information and Performance – Mental Health Services team as a Data Integrity Officer. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, supporting statutory and Activity Based Funding reporting, and providing training and support to staff to strengthen data quality and digital capability.

This position is advertised as 5 days per fortnight, though 4 days per fortnight could be negotiated if required. There is some flexibility to negotiate which days are worked, provided this is consistent and the operational needs of the team are met.  

 

Key responsibilities:

In this role, you will:
• Monitor and resolve data integrity issues across clinical and administrative systems (including iPM, Epic, and CMI).
• Conduct data audits, reconciliation, validation, and correction to ensure data quality and compliance.
• Provide advice, feedback, and targeted education to staff on data entry and reporting standards.
• Support accurate and timely reporting.
• Build strong working relationships with clinical, administrative, and executive staff to enhance data-driven decision making.

 

About you:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualifications:
• A relevant qualification in Health Information Management, Health Administration, Data Management, or a related field.

Essential:
• Experience in data integrity, data management, or health information systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable:
• Experience in a hospital, mental health, or public health service environment.
• Working knowledge of health data systems such as iPM, Epic EMR, and CMI.
• Understanding of Activity Based Funding reporting requirements.
