About the role:

The Clinical Product Advisor is the speciality nursing consultant for clinical products at RMH and as such will play a leading role in providing timely advice and support to the Procurement team and other internal stakeholders, to ensure that the best possible clinical and commercial outcomes can be achieved through the procurement function.

The CPA plays a leading role to action TGA related recalls, notifications and risk assessments etc. for the entirely of the RMH (City Campus and other sites) and plays a significant role in the updates and amendments to key policies around product review committees and policies to address medical goods related matters.

Key responsibilities include evaluating and advising on new and existing clinical products with the aim of providing our stakeholders with the best value clinical products and outcomes.

The Clinical Product Advisor will actively support category management and strategic sourcing initiatives, including playing a key role in:

  • Making introductions, breaking down barriers and fostering collaborative working relationships between the Procurement team and clinical stakeholders.
  • Provision of a consultancy service to multiple RMH campuses and precinct partners, accepting referrals from clinical areas and Procurement on product selection, safety, standardisation and clinical risk.
  • Providing timely clinical advice, product trials and escalation pathways across RMH City, Royal Park and other designated areas as directed.

 

About you:

  • Nursing Degree and/or other comparable qualifications and/or relevant work experience.
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Clinical Experience in Acute Health (Intensive/Critical Care, Theatre).
  • Ability to work under time sensitive requirements and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Procurement and Commercial processes.
  • Proactive and flexible.
