Clinical Pharmacist– Haematology & Team Leader

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Deliver high quality and patient focused haematology and bone marrow transplant pharmacy services
  • Co-lead a team of dedicated pharmacists within our cancer services, palliative care, infectious diseases and hospital in the home team

Your new team

  • We are a dynamic and supportive pharmacy team working together to deliver safe, high quality patient care and medicines management
  • We enjoy a collaborative working environment and you will work as part of quality team to develop high quality and innovative pharmacy services and quality improvement initiatives.

Your new role:

  • Deliver high quality and patient focussed clinical pharmacy services
  • Assess, plan and implement clinical pharmacy services to haematology and bone marrow transplant services and wider team
  • Provide education and training to pharmacy and other healthcare professionals
  • Manage and coordinate your team to achieve patient focussed KPIs
  • Promote the quality use of medicines by leading quality and safety projects
  • Contribute to on call, after hours and weekend services

About you:

You are a pharmacist registered with AHPRA, as well as having:

  • Extensive clinical pharmacy experience in haematology.  Experience in allogeneic stem cell  transplant is desirable but not essential
  • Ability and enthusiasm to lead a team
  • Effective communication skills and a passion to share knowledge and educate others.
  • Relevant post graduate qualification or commitment to complete (desirable)
