Clinical Operations Manager - Cardiology
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Full time - 80 hours per fortnight (including monthly ADO)

Specialty Cardiology services include Adult Congenital Heart Disease, complex cardiac electrophysiology, structural cardiac intervention, cardiac genetics, heart failure, cardiac implanted electronic devices management including lead extraction.

About the Role:

  • Full-time opportunity at RMH Cardiology to join the leadership team in a dynamic and fast-paced department.
  • Seeking a senior critical care nurse with proven excellence and a commitment to evidence-based cardiology care.
  • The Clinical Operations Manager will work with the Cardiology Executive team to oversee daily operations in both ambulatory and inpatient settings.
  • Role includes line management of Cardiology Clinical Nurse Consultants and the Administration Team Leader.
  • Focus on developing innovative nursing models and improving billing processes to support the department's strategic growth.

About You:

  • Qualifications: Registered Nurse with valid AHPRA registration and postgraduate nursing qualification in Cardiac or Critical Care nursing.
  • Clinical Expertise: Extensive experience in acute cardiac and critical care nursing with strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership & Operations: Proven leadership in managing budgets, staffing, infrastructure, recruitment, and operational tasks within an acute care setting; experienced in workforce development and change management.
  • Professional & Interpersonal Skills: Strong communicator with executive-level interaction, committed to quality care, innovation, and collaboration; proficient in business planning, financial analysis, and Microsoft Office.
