Grade 3 Dietitian – Community Mental Health Service

- Be a senior dietitian at a leading Victorian health service.

- Part time 0.6 fixed term parental leave cover (AK1–AK4).
Your New Role
- Provide expert clinical dietetic assessment, nutrition management, intervention and program development for people experiencing mental ill health.
- Work as part of a specialised multidisciplinary team (MDT) a GP, dietitian, nurses, psychologist and mental health clinicians to improve physical health outcomes for community-based consumers experiencing mental illness.
- Collaborate closely with community mental health teams and other services to ensure coordinated, continuum-of-care for patients.
- Contribute to service development, clinical leadership and education, and quality improvement initiatives.
- The role is initially based at Waratah Clinic Moonee Ponds, and community clinic site opening soon near Royal Melbourne Hospital.
About You
- Clinical expertise in nutrition interventions management for people experiencing mental illness.
- Minimum 7 years post-graduate experience, with at least 3 years working in eating disorders and/or mental health.
- Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to inspire and support colleagues and contribute to service development
- Strong organisational skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution, collaboration, and negotiation within multidisciplinary teams.
- Passion for student and staff supervision, mentoring, and clinical leadership.
