Job Description: 

Clerical Assistant Perioperative Services
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Part Time Ongoing role
  • Monday to Saturday rotating shifts
  • Salary Packaging and other benefits

Perioperative Services Department consists of 16 Main Operating Theatres, Anaesthetics and Recovery, CSSD, 3 West Day Procedure and 3 East Day of Surgery Admissions / 23 hour unit. The Department provides a wide variety of services for patients including but not limited to emergency surgery, elective surgery, procedures requiring anaesthetic outside of department, day surgery and over night stay, processing and sterilisation of surgical equipment and instruments across the Parkville Precinct

About you: 

  • Compassionate, caring and patient focused.
  • Proven relevant competencies and skills
  • Experience in reception in a busy health service environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, diction and telephone techniques
  • Proactive and willing to work and learn in a team environment
