Pathology Network West, The Royal Melbourne Hospital

 

  • New role | Full-time | 12-month contract | Hybrid work arrangement
  • Salary Range: $140,000 – $150,000 + Super and salary packaging options

Join an exciting collaboration between The Parkville Precinct: The Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Royal Women’s Hospital, The Royal Children’s Hospital, and Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre to help shape the future of public pathology in Victoria.

About the role: 

We are seeking a Change Lead to join the Pathology Network West (PNW) team. PNW at RMH is leading the major transformation initiative to unify pathology services across the Parkville Precinct into a single, world-class public pathology network.

The key focus of this role is supporting the delivery of Pathology Connect, a project implementing a new Laboratory Information System (LIS) integrated with supporting platforms.

This system will support the delivery of pathology services across the four leading health services by the end of 2026.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver tailored change management plans aligned to project milestones
• Lead stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple services
• Collaborate with training leads and SMEs to support learning design and delivery
• Deliver clear, targeted messaging to clinical and non-clinical audiences
• Support business readiness alongside project and vendor teams
• Coordinate change activities across labs and broader health service environments
• Work closely with internal communications, People & Culture, and precinct teams

About You

You are an experienced change professional who thrives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

You bring:

• Proven experience leading organisational change across large-scale programs
• Strong understanding of change management methodologies and tools
• Experience in digital or service transformation in healthcare or similar sectors
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• A collaborative and proactive mindset with a people-first approach
• Ability to translate strategy into practical, actionable outcomes
