About The Royal Melbourne Hospital
As one of the largest health services in Victoria, and a team of more than 10,000 strong, we provide a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, outpatient and community programs. We are a designated state-wide provider for services including trauma, and we lead centres of excellence for tertiary services in several key specialties including neurosciences, nephrology, oncology, cardiology and virtual health.
Your new team
- We are a busy and friendly team working together to provide excellent care to patients and their families.
- We enjoy a collaborative working environment, providing a 24/7 service to the wards and departments at City Campus, completing a range of tasks that support clinicians to care for patients.
Your new role
- Provide support services to clinical staff in the wards and departments of the Royal Melbourne Hospital, including supporting with transfer of patients, patient hygiene, cleaning and ward stock maintenance.
- Provide excellent care to patients and their families.
- Ensure effective and timely liaison, communication and support between all areas of the service.
- Perform emergency response functions, attending and assisting in emergency codes as per organisational policy and procedures.
About you
- Certificate III in Health Service Assistance with additional 6 months experience.
- Availability to work full range of shifts including weekends, morning, evening and night shifts.
- Willingness to contribute to quality patient care.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, including an ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients and families.
- Basic computer skills.
