The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.
RMH is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our Health Intelligence team. Reporting to the Lead Warehouse Architect, you will play a critical role in integrating PowerBilling & Revenue Collection (PBRC) data into our enterprise data warehouse, along with other source systems. You'll work closely with the Health Intelligence team, IT infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and implement robust data integration solutions.

About the role:
- Design and develop ETL processes to extract data from source systems and transform it to meet data warehouse standards
- Implement comprehensive data quality checks, validation procedures and optimize data loading processes for performance
- Develop and maintain data models that support reporting requirements and create optimized database structures
- Establish data integration schedules, monitoring procedures and alerting systems for integration failures
- Collaborate with business users to understand data requirements and provide technical guidance on data availability and best practices
About you
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
Essential
- Minimum 5 years' experience in business intelligence and data integration
- Strong expertise in SQL, database design, and data warehousing concepts
- Strong understanding of the Microsoft SQL Server Stack (SSMS, SSAS, and SSIS in particular)
- Knowledge of data modelling techniques and dimensional modelling
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent communication skills
Desirable
- Experience in healthcare or hospital environments
- Experience in translation of data for improvement and health care audiences
- Experience working with a complex enterprise data warehouse
- Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle and billing processes
- Proven ability to complete data extractions and transformations
