Build on your leadership strengths within a multidisciplinary team committed to least restrictive and trauma-informed care. As an ANUM, you will combine expert clinical practice with a strong management focus. Working closely with the NUM, you will play a key role in ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality care across the clinical environment.

In your new role, you will:

  • Deliver and oversee high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge while supporting the leadership and management of the unit
  • Contribute to safe patient flow and effective coordination of care

About you:

·         Registration as a registered nurse under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act (2009) with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.

·         Bachelor’s degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or, bachelor’s degree in nursing plus a Postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.

  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven clinical experience in psychiatry
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act, relevant legislation, and public mental health policies
  • Skilled in problem-solving, negotiation, and collaboration across teams and services
