About The Royal Melbourne Hospital 

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs. 

 

The RMH Rehab ward is a 40 bed ward that specialises in neurological, amputee and orthopaedic/musculoskeletal rehab. 

 

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), you are pivotal to the multi-disciplinary health care team for the delivery of excellent care to patients and their families.

About the role:

  • Ensure there is provision of high-quality standards of patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to achieve the desired patient outcomes.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the manager maintaining professional and operational standard out of hours.
  • Ensure individual patient plans, Estimated Discharge dates, barriers to discharge, next destination are updated on the Patient Journey Board (Electronic Medical Records system) each shift and understands the importance of this workflow to facilitate effective and timely discharge planning and communicates effectively with bed management team

 

About you: 

  • Registered Nurses with AHPRA  that are eligible to apply must have a minimum of 3 years acute/sub acute experience with leadership experience working in the Nurse in Charge role and/ or have experience in managing a portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Demonstrated provision of high-quality patient care
  • Effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
