ANUM – Rehabilitation Ward
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

 

  • Permanent, Part Time position within a supportive team.
  • Seeking an ANUM with a minimum of 1 year experience.
  • Located at the Royal Melbourne Royal Park Campus
  • Work with multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality Rehabilitation Care.

About The Royal Melbourne Hospital 

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs. 

 

Seeking an ANUM with a minimum of 1 year experience.  Rehab is a busy 30 bed ward with a large variety of patients.  The successful candidate will have some sub acute experience and ideally either orthopaedic nursing experience or neuro stroke.  We are keen to grown the leadership team with a variety of skills to provide an excellent service to all our patients and their families.  This is an ongoing role and is an opportunity to add rehab nursing to your skill set.  Rehab nursing is an excellent skill and will enhance career opportuities in a variety of other nursing pathways.

About the role:

  • Ensure there is provision of high-quality standards of patient care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team to achieve the desired patient outcomes.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the manager maintaining professional and operational standard out of hours.
  • Ensure individual patient plans, Estimated Discharge dates, barriers to discharge, next destination are updated on the Patient Journey Board (Electronic Medical Records system) each shift and understands the importance of this workflow to facilitate effective and timely discharge planning and communicates effectively with bed management team

 

About you: 

  • Registered Nurses with AHPRA  that are eligible to apply must have a minimum of 3 years acute/sub acute experience with leadership experience working in the Nurse in Charge role and/ or have experience in managing a portfolio.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a team
  • Demonstrated provision of high-quality patient care
  • Effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
