The Royal Melbourne Hospital’s Perioperative Services team plays a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical care. As an Advanced Storeperson, you will contribute directly to patient outcomes by ensuring the timely delivery and availability of essential surgical consumables.
Your new role:
In this hands-on role, you will
- Manage the receipt, tracking, and distribution of stock within the perioperative setting
- Monitor and resolve supply issues, including back orders and discrepancies
- Work collaboratively with clinical and operational teams to maintain optimal stock levels
- Use multiple inventory and IT systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock control
About you:
- Previous experience in a storeperson, inventory controller, or logistics role (healthcare experience is a plus but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Confident using digital inventory systems and managing stock across multiple platforms
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment
