Job Description: 

Admission Clerk - Day Procedure Unit
Royal Melbourne Hospital

  • Part Time fixed term position 
  • Work with a diverse and supportive team
  • Rotating Roster: Monday to Saturday 

As a member of the 3 West Day Procedure unit the admission clerk will work in close collaboration and liaison with all members of Peri-operative Services, thus ensuring a harmonious and efficient patient flow in and out of the Day Procedure Unit, Operating Suite and related services.

Your new role

  • Deliver a professional customer focused service.
  • Provide clear and concise communication with staff, patients and visitors
  • Answer and respond to telephone and reception enquires
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships both inter and intra departmentally
  • Maintain and file relevant documentation and medical records in accordance with departmental policies
  • Provide clerical, secretarial and receptionist support to the Perioperative Department as required

About you

  • Professional communication skills, written and verbal, including a professional telephone manner
  • Clerical experience and administrative skills
  • Thrive in busy environments
  • Competent computer skills
