3 East Admission and Pre-admission Clinic is seeking a dedicated Clerk to join our busy Monday to Friday admission service and outpatient clinic.
Here on 3 East, we welcome planned patients to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, assisting them as they begin and progress through their health journey.
The Pre-admission Clinic is a busy outpatient service that prepares patients for their upcoming procedures. Working closely with the Planned Surgery Booking Office and Perioperative Services, we provide a calm, efficient and patient-focused experience.
Your new role:
- Providing a professional, face-to-face admission service and information to patients and their carers
- Managing phone and online enquiries in a courteous and timely manner
- Delivering front desk reception services and administrative support
- Coordinating patient management and flow through the Pre-admission Clinic
- Completing data entry and other general administrative duties
- Supporting the smooth coordination of elective admissions and discharges
About You
You are calm, friendly and patient-focused, with excellent communication and organisational skills. You enjoy being part of a collaborative team and take pride in delivering high-quality customer service.
You will bring:
- Strong administrative and computer skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- A professional and empathetic manner when engaging with patients, carers and clinical teams
- The ability to work effectively in a busy, team-based environment
