Administrative Assistant - Diabetes and Endocrinology Department
The Royal Melbourne Hospital

 

  • Ongoing part time position
  • 32 hours per fortnight (job-share)
  • Located in Parkville, close to public transport

Your new role:

  • Clerical and administrative duties to support the Endocrinology Telehealth Rapid Access Clinic Service (Endo-TRACS) program in particular relating to patient enquiries, TRACS clinics bookings and liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide a professional and caring customer-focused service, often as the first point of contact and communication for patients, their families, and visitors.
  • Contribute to the Diabetes and Endocrinology service and quality improvement activities.
  • Providing a professional, face-to-face admission service and information to patients and their carers
  • Managing phone and online enquiries in a courteous and timely manner
  • Delivering front desk reception services and administrative support

About you:

We're welcoming a new Administrative Support team member with a strong background, meeting the required selection criteria and matching our positive work culture and high standard of patient care:

  • Concise written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone and email manner
  • Relevant clerical experience and administrative skills
  • Strong competence in computer skills, digital patient management systems and accurate keyboard skills
  • Demonstrated team player with an ability to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary environment
