The Neuroimmunology Centre is dedicated to the assessment and long-term management of people with a possible or definite diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis (MS) or other neuroimmunology conditions. The Neuroimmunology Centre cares for approximately 1,500 patients with neuroimmunological conditions and is staffed by nine neurologists with subspecialty training in Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology. The Centre provides a multidisciplinary approach through specialist nurses, social worker (in collaboration with MS Plus Australia), neuropsychologists and a psychologist, and collaborates closely with rehabilitation and continence services at the RMH.
The Neuroimmunology Centre is dedicated to clinically relevant research related to all neuroimmunology including research involving use of new therapies and technology, and the monitoring of responses of patients to treatment over prolonged periods.
Your new role:
- Manage, prepare and submit research ethics and governance applications, post-approval submissions, amendments and reports to RMH Office for Research
- Manage clinical and office workspace at the RMH Neuroimmunology Centre (including desk space, supplies, bookings and other tasks)
- Oversee and coordinate the administration team, manage rosters, assist with coordination of patient care, manage outpatient appointments, managing and reporting of data collected
- Liaise daily with consultants, fellows, junior doctors and scientists to ensure the smooth running of the Neuroimmunology department
About you:
- Have at least 5 years administration experience
- Understanding of and experience with research, ethics & governance process in Australia
- Strong attention to detail
- Have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, in addition to working autonomously
