Administration Officer

- Looking for an administration officer with mental health experience for Mental Health Forensic Interface Team.
- Fixed term position until 30/06/2027 - 0.5EFT (5 days a fortnight).
- Based in North Melbourne.
Your new team
MH-FIT is a state-wide specialist service that operates in the North and the West of Victoria and provides a service to individuals, across the age range, referred by the Victorian Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (VFTAC) and forensic clinical specialists in area mental health services.
The team provide a range of clinical mental health services to those with a mental illness and at risk of serious offending, especially a pathological grievance, expressed through violent behaviour in the context of making threats against public office holders and/or expressing radicalism and extremism to the extent that the public may be placed at risk.
We are:
- A specialist clinical enhancement treatment & support team
- We work collaboratively with other area mental health services or service providers
- Provide mental health and forensic assessment, including violence risk assessment
- Provide assertive individualised treatment and care
- Host case planning meetings with multiple services
- Provide coordination of care
- We aim to adopt a proactive, preventative and targeted approach towards early intervention.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure approved databases are accurate and required data is entered accurately and in a timely manner, including but not limited to: consumer registrations, admissions, leave, discharges, opening and closing Case/Episodes, entering clinical review and referral data, entering wellbeing scales and contact data.
- Use the statewide mental health, hospital and local information management systems efficiently and appropriately (CMI, iPM, Epic)
- Ensure reconciliation between statewide mental health, hospital and local information management systems in accordance with network policy.
- Collate and maintaining KPI and performance data as directed by manager.
- Maintain storage areas ensuring adequate supplies of approved forms are available
- Assist in ensuring all legal documentation is complete and accurate and forwarded when necessary to the appropriate coordinator within the area mental health service
- Comply with NWAMHS confidentiality requirements
About You:
- Past work experience in a mental health service
- Past work experience in an inpatient setting preferable but not an exclusion.
- Experience using the Victorian mental health statewide information system, CMI/RAPID
- Experience using iPM and Epic
- Relevant experience and ability to provide a broad range of administrative and intermediate level keyboard support functions including word processing and database entry
- Competent application of the Microsoft Office Suite package
- Demonstrated ability to manage concurrent tasks
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Flexibility to change as HiTH evolves and grows
