Administration Manager Medical Imaging – Full Time Leadership Role

The role seeks a suitably skilled and compassionate Leader, looking for a rewarding career managing the Administration service for Medical Imaging at Melbourne Health (which includes RMH Parkville, RMH Royal Park, RMH Private Imaging and RMH Nuclear Medicine). The Medical Imaging Department at Melbourne Health services over 220,000 examinations across multi modalities across a large multidisciplinary team. 


Requirements of the position will be staff management, supporting positive workplace culture, training , service, and quality improvements. Managing referral demand and collaboration with stakeholders to support timely access to imaging will be essential.

Your new role:

The Administration Manager will have the responsibility to :

  • Comply with Quality Management policies and procedures and participate in Quality Management activities across Medical Imaging.
  • Support and participate in the Health Service OH&S Procedures and implement (where appropriate) at unit/service area level.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Be responsible for observing and practicing the principles and obligations of Equal Employment Opportunity

  • Ensure that activities and practices will prevent and eliminate unlawful discrimination.
  • Promote Melbourne Health values and fairness in the workplace with a key focus on positive workplace culture.
  • Contribute to the successful management of diversity in the workplace.
  • Comply with Health Service and Divisional specific Regulations, Melbourne Health Policy and Procedures (available on MH intranet site http://info.mh.org.au).
  • Ensure service delivery, teaching, and quality improvement.
  • Be the main point of contact for overseeing patient bookings and scheduling , referral management, financial management of referrals as per their compensable status.
  • Staff management across all areas of Medical Imaging.
  • Strong IT skills and MS office experience.


About you:

  • Current administration experience in a Supervisory/ Leadership level within the Healthcare sector.
  • Previous experience in Medical Imaging  (desirable).
  • As of 1 January 2026, a valid employee Victorian Working With Children's Check
  • You are a great communicator and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
  • Advocate for staff and patient safety.
  • Skilled in process and workflow management.
