Administration Assistant – Diabetes & Endocrinology

• Full Time, Ongoing role working 80 hours per fortnight
• Provide admin support to the Department Director and wider multidisciplinary team
• 5 weeks annual leave plus monthly ADOs!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Administration Assistant to support our Diabetes & Endocrinology Department. In this vital role, you’ll be central to the smooth functioning of our department, assisting the Department Director and health professionals with a wide range of administrative, clerical, and customer service responsibilities.
Your new role:
- Providing high-level administrative support to the Department Director, including managing Outlook calendars, correspondence, and meetings
- Coordinating recruitment paperwork, accreditation documentation, and departmental reports
- Organising interviews, annual discussions, education sessions, and internal events
- Managing clinic schedules, rosters, medical staff timesheets, and liaising with outpatient services
- Maintaining databases, staff email groups, shared drives, and internal/external communications
- Ensuring excellent customer service to patients, staff, and visitors
- Supporting the department’s digital operations, recordkeeping, and document access
About You (Essential Requirements):
- Minimum 12 months of administrative or customer service experience in a busy setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office and general IT skills, with the ability to learn hospital systems
- A collaborative, proactive approach with the ability to prioritise and multitask

Desirable:
- Experience in clinical department administration
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
- Knowledge of Diabetes & Endocrinology services or interest in healthcare
