The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
The Eating Disorder Service based at the Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of three specialist tertiary care services. The Eating Disorders Program provides expert multidisciplinary care to consumers from Western Metropolitan Melbourne and the Western part of Victoria and includes inpatient and outpatient care to those over the age of 18.
About the role:
· There are two Registrar positions available – Inpatient and Intake/Outpatient
· This position offers rich opportunities to work in the field of Eating Disorders, supporting interventions within the inpatient and outpatient setting.
· Support intake and access to early intervention
· Eating Disorders Service provides expert multidisciplinary care to consumers from across Victoria
· An opportunity to work alongside a passionate and dedicated team
About you:
- Current General Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with a minimum of 3 years’ experience
· Appropriate tertiary health qualifications - MBBS or equivalent
· Capacity to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team
· Ability to problem solve in a changing environment
· You have effective communication skills and a passion for continued professional development and research development
· Have flexibility in your work timetable, working across inpatient and outpatient
· You have a passion for caring and making a genuine difference in the lives of public mental health consumers and carers
· Provide quality consumer-focused care and evidenced base interventions
