We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Department of Urology affiliated with the University of Melbourne Department of Surgery offers a 1-year fellowship in urology. The fellowship training is in urologic oncology, robotic urologic surgery, trauma and general urology. The fellowship is associated with the academic department of Urology at Royal Melbourne Hospital and the University of Melbourne Department Of Surgery. The Urology department also collaborates with the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Parkville, Victoria.
About the role:
This fellowship was initiated in 2000 and suits either academic or clinical training after urology residency. The fellowship is designed to train the next generation of leaders in Urology by offering a well-balanced didactic research and supervised surgical teaching program particularly skills related to robotic surgery. About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
