Unit Description:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of two level-one trauma centres in Victoria and deals with large volumes of pelvic and acetabular fractures. The department is situated on the 8th Floor of RMH and works in close collaboration with the Department of Rheumatology forming a Department of Musculoskeletal Clinical Care and Research. There is a dedicated office with access to modern computers and the internet. A departmental library is also provided.
About the role:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is seeking a Fellow, with a speciality interest in Arthroplasty and Trauma to join the team. The applicant is expected to join in all activities of the Orthopaedic Department and work closely with the Orthopaedic Pelvic and Acetabular Surgery Lead and Registrars. The applicant will also be expected to participate in teaching activities within the Department.
About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia via the Competent Authority Pathway (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
