We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital is one of two level-one trauma centres in Victoria and deals with large volumes of pelvic and acetabular fractures. The department is situated on the 7th Floor of RMH along with the department of Rheumatology forming a department of Musculoskeletal Clinical Care and Research. There is a dedicated office with access to modern computers and the internet. A departmental library is also provided.
About the role:
This position provides surgical experience and patient management opportunities ideal for candidates attempting to enter the surgical program. The position will be highly competitive, and the selection process rigorous. Please ensure that you give thought to your application, and that you submit a concise and compliant application.
About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications
- Previous experience in Orthopaedic Surgery
- Previous experience in a major Trauma Centre
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
