Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuroimmunology program in collaboration with Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre
The Royal Melbourne is one of Victoria’s largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community-based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world-renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.
Unit Description:
The Royal Melbourne Hospital Neuroimmunology Centre is offering two 1-year fellowships in multiple sclerosis – with focus on (i) MS & Neuroimmunology or (ii) MS & CAR-T cell therapy. The latter is offered in collaboration with the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre (PMCC). The positions are accredited by the Royal Australian College of Physicians as non-core training in neurology.
About the role:
- play a key role in the coordination of patient care in neuroimmunology
- participate in weekly MS, CAR-T and Neurology clinics
- participation in the provision of care in the Day Infusion Centre
- attendance of weekly research and departmental meetings
About You:
- Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (for international Medical Graduates)
- MBBS or equivalent tertiary qualifications who have trained and completed core years of Neurology training (or local equivalent)
- Ability to work in a team
- Well-developed communication and presentation skills.
