The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

RMH are seeking a Digital Health Pharmacist to join our pharmacy digital health team.  Working within the pharmacy department, you will support the implementation and maintenance of digital health solutions for pharmacy and medication management as we continue to advance our digital health transformation at RMH.

 

About the role:

This senior role supports the management of medication through use of digital health solutions across RMH. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementation and maintenance of digital health solutions for pharmacy and medication management
  • Ensure successful implementation of automated solutions for medication management e.g. Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs)
  • Support the optimisation of medication management within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
  • Provision of education and training to support optimal use of digital health systems
  • Optimise reporting and use of data within systems to drive quality improvement activities

 

About you 

Qualifications

  • Registered, or eligible for general registration, as a pharmacist with AHPRA

Essential

  • Minimum of five years of hospital pharmacy experience
  • Excellent communication and time management skills with ability to prioritise, plan and organise your work and deliver to deadlines
  • A demonstrated commitment to continuous quality improvement, leadership, service development and ongoing change
  • Well-developed data analysis skills

Desirable

  • Relevant post graduate qualification
  • Experience with maintaining pharmacy operating system, electronic medication management system and ADCs
