We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to become part of our dedicated and collaborative team. If you're enthusiastic about delivering Safe, Timely, Effective and Person-Centred Care, we’d love to hear from you.
In this full-time, ongoing role, you will play a key part in the strategic planning, maintenance, and management of electrical infrastructure across Melbourne Health sites. Your expertise in electrical systems, energy efficiency initiatives, and risk management strategies will contribute to the continuous improvement of our facilities and services. You’ll be welcomed into a dynamic and supportive environment where your skills and insights are valued, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a real impact in healthcare engineering.
About you:Â
Â
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Â
- Have a Professional Registration as a Chartered Engineer (CPEng) or Registered Professional Engineer (RPEng)Â
- Minimum 8+ years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably within healthcare, critical infrastructure, or large commercial facilities.
- Strong understanding of HV/LV power distribution, standby power systems (generators, UPS), energy management, and electrical safety.
- Demonstrated experience in compliance management with AS/NZS standards, OH&S regulations, and healthcare infrastructure guidelines.
- Available to partake in the Engineering on-call roster to promptly respond to emergencies, ensuring minimal downtime and that essential healthcare services remain uninterrupted.
- Ability to lead projects, coordinate contractors, and work in a multidisciplinary environment.
