Senior Dietitian - Renal

  • Grade 3 Dietitian (AK1-AK4)
  • Part time 48 hours per fortnight, fixed term to end of September 2026
  • RMH City Campus based + outreach

 

RMH Nutrition

The Clinical Nutrition department consists of approximately 37 EFT and more than 40 staff across RMH sites. We provide care to our patients within the acute, subacute and community therapy services across all specialities. We operate a 7-day service across several clinical areas. As a Clinical School, RMH Clinical Nutrition is recognised as a centre of excellence and best practice for clinical nutrition and dietetics. The Department is committed to providing evidence based, patient-centred care. Wellbeing, supervision and reflective practice, professional development, student teaching, quality improvement and research are key focuses of our team.

 

Your New Role

The Senior Renal Dietitian, through their clinical expertise and leadership skills, has a prominent role in ensuring delivery of high  quality nutrition services to patients with renal disease at The Royal Melbourne Hospital.  The Senior Renal Dietitian will have strong relationships with key stakeholders and will promote a culture of innovation, continuous improvement and research in nutrition for patients with renal disease.

 

About You

  • You have 7 years relevant clinical experience ideally with specialist experience of 2+ years in renal nutrition
  • Clinical expert in nutrition for patients with renal disease including home-based renal therapies (haemodialysis and preperitoneal dialysis, admitted haemodialysis patients including satellite services, renal transplant and other related conditions)
  • You have broad and relevant clinical experience in acute nutrition care, home based and ambulatory services
  • You are passionate about leadership and have experience supervising junior dietitians
