Projects Coordinator – Security and Safety Department

About the Role

 

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is seeking a full-time Projects Coordinator to join our Security and Safety Department. In this role, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support for various security projects across the organisation. You will also oversee the ongoing programming and administration of security and access control systems across all RMH sites.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Project & Admin Support: Provide high-level project administration and coordination to the Security team and broader Melbourne Health departments to ensure project milestones are met.
  • System Administration: Manage, program, and maintain the security and access control systems used across RMH facilities.
  • Compliance & Risk: Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks for the security unit and other departments as required.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary internal and external teams, including Project Managers, external contractors, Facilities Management, Capital Works, and the RMH Redevelopment team.


About You

 

  • A minimum of 12 months Hospital experience.
  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in a similar project coordination or security role.
  • Proficiency in project management software and security systems (specifically those utilized by Melbourne Health/RMH).
  • Strong organisational, communication (written and verbal) and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage any competing priorities.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic and evolving service environment.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of current RMH security systems, including:
