We are seeking experienced Security Control Room Operators to join the Royal Melbourne Hospital. The RMH security team are tasked with securing the premises and ensuring the safety of all staff, patients and visitors on site.

About the role:

  • Monitor multiple CCTV screens to detect and respond to emergency procedures, including code grey and black, suspicious activities, security breaches and other emergencies.
  • Operate and maintain security equipment including CCTV systems, door access control systems, duress alarms, and monitor security radio communications.
  • Strong technical skills and ability to problem solve internal security systems.
  • Review and download camera footage in accordance to RMH procedure, maintaining records.
  • Compiling security audits and reports.
  • Accurate communication to security response team, Switchboard and Emergency Controller to ensure a coordinated response during security incidents and emergency responses.

About you:

  • A current Victorian security licence with Control Room Operator endorsement.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a health related control room environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Operates within the scope of legislation and complete confidentiality.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
  • Professional presentation, reception and customer service skills
  • Conflict resolutions skills.
  • Flexibility with regards to shift patterns and availability.
