Job Description: 
  • Part time Fixed term until January 2028 | 64 hours per fortnight

The ACRF Translational Research Laboratory brings together clinicians and laboratory scientists to improve treatment for patients with blood cancers. The laboratory supports more than 20 prospective clinical trials, incorporating biobanking and biomarker analyses to advance translational research.

 

Working closely with laboratory scientists and clinical collaborators, you will coordinate and collect clinical samples from patients participating in research projects, ensuring samples and associated data are collected in accordance with ethically approved protocols. You will also support database management and report preparation for the Laboratory Director and Senior Scientist.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Coordination and collection of clinical samples for research projects.
  • Identify patients enrolled on ethically approved projects.
  • Maintain databases of samples processed across various studies.
  • Assist laboratory research staff with experiments as directed.

 

About You

 

  • You are a Registered Nurse with current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • You bring strong assessment, critical thinking, problem-solving and organisational skills.
  • You work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • You have basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and experience using databases is an advantage. Training will be provided.
