Registered Psychiatric Nurse- Grade 2

• Ongoing Full Time and Part Time role (min of 0.8 EFT)
• $5000 Sign On Bonus*
• Supported Study Leave as required (Some nurses may be working towards Masters which is the year after Post Grad)
• Based at RMH MHS – City Campus

We are looking for experienced mental health nurses (with a post graduate mental health nursing qualification, or equivalent) to work in our newly expanded and renovated acute inpatient unit in Parkville.

We are a motivated, enthusiastic, diverse and collaborative team with access to modern facilities and great supports.

You can work full-time or part-time and we are offering a $5000 sign-on bonus (conditions apply)

Your New Role:

• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation for care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team.
• Deliver evidence-based treatment and interventions to support adults with complex mental health needs, their families and carers.
• Provide high quality nursing care to consumers across 24 hour, 7 days a week roster.
• Work across AM, PM, night and weekend shifts.

About You:

• Completed a Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing, Masters of Mental Health Nursing or equivalent.

• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulations Agency (AHPRA).
• Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills.
• Experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of severe mental illness and psychiatric disability is desirable, with training and development provided as required.

*Sign on bonus will be calculated on a pro-rata basis for ongoing roles below 0.8 EFT. 

50% Bonus payable at 3 Month of employment and 50% following 12 months continuous employment in the ongoing role.
