Job Description:

Registered Nurse

Join AC1, our newly established 20-bed Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) ward, providing specialist care to older adults in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

As a Registered Nurse, you’ll deliver person-centred care focused on achieving the best possible outcomes for patients and their families, while working collaboratively with a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

You’ll also have opportunities to develop your career through portfolios, supporting student and graduate nurse education, postgraduate study and leadership opportunities.

Key accountabilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred nursing care to patients and families
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient outcomes
  • Practice safely within scope and escalate concerns, complaints and risks appropriately
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service initiatives
  • Maintain required training and support ongoing professional development
  • Promote a safe, respectful and psychologically safe environment
  • Work a rotating roster including early, late, night duty and weekends

About You

You are an experienced Registered Nurse who brings:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • 12 months’ acute/subacute experience or 18 months’ aged/residential care experience
  • Strong clinical assessment, reasoning and prioritisation skills
  • Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills
  • Reliability, professional conduct and a willingness to learn
