About the role

Join Ward 3 West – Day Procedure Unit as a Registered Nurse and provide care across a diverse range of surgical and procedural specialties, including Diagnostic and Emergency Endoscopy, Anaesthetics, Recovery, Urology, Hepatobiliary, Plastics, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology and Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.

 

You’ll work within a specialised setting that supports high-acuity nursing practice, collaboration and professional development, with opportunities to broaden your clinical skills across a varied procedural caseload.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Deliver safe, effective, person-centred care in a dynamic Day Procedure and Endoscopy environment
  • Provide nursing care across a range of surgical and procedural specialties in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team
  • Work flexible 10-hour shifts with part time and permanent opportunities available
  • Participate in an after-hours on-call roster following endoscopy training
  • Be supported by a dedicated Clinical Educator and ongoing professional development

 

About You

 

You are a AHPRA Registered Nurse, also offering:

 

  • Minimum 2 years’ acute clinical nursing experience
  • Endoscopy or Ophthalmology scrub scout experience
  • Perioperative or Day Procedure Unit experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, plan and prioritise in a fast-paced clinical setting
  • Strong communication, teamwork and critical thinking skills
