Cyril Jewell House accommodates up to 45 residents and is situated in the quiet suburban streets of East Keilor. Our team supports residents by having a solid understanding of dementia, multiple sclerosis, Huntington's disease, mental health, and physical health impacts on older adults.

We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Nurse to join Our aged care Home

As a Registered Nurse working at CJH you are a vital member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary health care team, who strive to deliver excellent care to our residents and their families.

 Your New Role:

  • Provide a high standard of safe, timely, effective and person-centred nursing care to Residents through nursing patient assessments, care planning and delivery of care.
  • Work collaboratively with the nursing and multidisciplinary health care team to achieve person-centred care and desired resident’s outcomes
  • Ensures all elements of delegated work are completed to a high standard and in accordance with The Royal Melbourne Hospital policies, procedures, and values

About You:

  • Registered Nurse - Registration under the Australian Health Partitions Regulation with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current NDIS workers screening check
  • 18 months or more of aged care experience. The ability to work as in charge afterhours and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Commitment to live the Melbourne Way at RMH - putting people first, leading with kindness and achieving excellence together.
  • High level of self-motivation and initiative
  • High level of reliability and professional conduct
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with other staff, patients, and their families
  • Developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem solving and prioritisation skills
  • High motivation and willingness to learn and grow
