The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS) provides compassionate, recovery-focused care across inpatient and community settings – 24 hours, 7 days a week. About the role:
As the ECT Recovery Nurse, you’ll provide safe, high-quality care to people receiving Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). You’ll support patients through all stages of their treatment, assist the ECT Coordinator with daily operations, and contribute to data and quality activities. When ECT is not scheduled, you’ll provide clinical support to the Neuropsychiatry and Eating Disorders Unit.
About you:
• Registered Nurse with AHPRA registration and 5+ years post-graduate experience
• Experience in ECT and/or recovery settings
• Excellent communication, clinical, and organisational skills
• Understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act and ECT guidelines
Desirable:
• Experience in ECT coordination, audits, or quality improvement
• Postgraduate qualification in Mental Health Nursing
• Advanced Life Support trained
