About the role

The Quality Systems Officer is an essential role in the Quality and Improvement (QI) team, supporting the delivery of safe, timely, equitable and person-centred care across The Royal Melbourne Hospital. In this role you will provide administrative, secretarial, and quality systems support essential to the functions of quality and improvement in partnership with clinical services across the organisation. 

 

This is a varied role, where you will work collaboratively with clinicians, managers and multidisciplinary teams to support quality improvement activities, maintain quality systems and documentation, coordinate meetings and reporting processes, and contribute to the effective operation of the QI team.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Administering and supporting RMH quality systems, including Prompt (document management system) and RiskMan 
  • Providing system support, maintenance, and data integrity oversight
  • Coordinating system updates, upgrades, and user communications
  • Delivering high‑quality administrative support to the Quality & Improvement team
  • Supporting clinical governance, patient safety, quality improvement, and accreditation readiness

 

About You

 

  • Completed secondary education or Certificate in Office Administration
  • Experience in an acute healthcare setting is advantageous
  • Experience in one or more key information systems: RiskMan, Prompt, FMIS, CAFM, CMI, Epic EMR
  • Enjoy engaging and working collaboratively with colleagues across all RMH teams
