The Quality Systems Officer position is an essential role within the Quality and Improvement (QI) team, a multidisciplinary team committed to supporting and influencing Safe, Timely, Effective, Person-centred (STEP) care at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. As a member of the QI team aligned to a clinical service, and supported by quality systems colleagues, this role provides administrative, secretarial, and quality systems support essential to the functions of quality and improvement across the organisation.

About the role:

  • Support efficient practices aligned with RMH's Quality and Clinical Governance Frameworks.

  • Assist the QI team with stakeholder meetings and provide administrative support.

  • Manage and maintain up-to-date resources on SharePoint for self-directed learning and improvement.

  • Provide administrative support for Whole System Quality training initiatives.

  • Maintain effective use of Prompt Documents and VHIMS across the organization.

 

About you: 

  • Completed secondary education or Certificate in Office Administration
  • Proficient computing skills including Office 365 (Work, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
  • Experience in one or more key information systems: RiskMan, Prompt, FMIS, CAFM, CMI, Epic EMR
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and lateral thinking capability
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to use resources effectively and identify improvements within scope of role
