Psychological Health & Wellbeing Manager

The Royal Melbourne Hospital

Brand new leadership role driving psychological health, safety and wellbeing across RMH.

  • Lead a new organisational function focused on psychological health and wellbeing
  • Drive initiatives that strengthen psychological safety and psychosocial risk management
  • Full time, ongoing leadership role based at RMH Elizabeth Street

About the role

  • Lead RMH’s organisational strategy for psychological health, wellbeing and psychosocial risk management, establishing strong foundations for this newly created function
  • Provide leadership to a team of specialist clinicians delivering evidence-based psychological safety and wellbeing initiatives
  • Drive the design and implementation of programs that strengthen psychological safety and reduce psychosocial hazards across the organisation
  • Partner with executives, leaders and governance forums to embed psychosocial risk management into everyday operations and decision-making
  • Ensure RMH meets emerging Occupational Health and Safety (Psychological Health) regulatory requirements and best practice standards

Key responsibilities

In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of RMH’s psychological health and wellbeing strategy
  • Provide leadership to a team of specialist clinicians delivering psychosocial safety initiatives
  • Drive initiatives that reduce psychosocial risk and strengthen psychological safety across the workforce
  • Partner with leaders and governance forums to embed psychosocial risk management into everyday operations
  • Deliver reporting, insights and education programs to support organisational wellbeing and compliance

About you

Essential

  • Relevant clinical qualification and professional registration (e.g. Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Nursing or Social Work)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex healthcare or large organisational environment
  • Expertise in psychological health, trauma-informed practice, psychosocial risk management or workplace wellbeing

Desirable

  • Experience designing psychological health or wellbeing programs in large organisations
  • Experience working with workplace safety frameworks or OHS psychosocial regulations
