About The Royal Melbourne Hospital Mental Health Services (RMH MHS):
RMH MHS provides high-quality, person-centred care across a range of inpatient and community mental health programs. Our teams are committed to delivering safe, evidence-based services that support recovery and wellbeing.
We are seeking Enrolled Psychiatric Nurses to join the John Cade Unit—a 41-bed adult acute inpatient unit, including 16 intensive care area beds, providing specialist support to people experiencing mental health crises. Named in honour of Dr John Cade, whose pioneering work in lithium therapy transformed modern psychiatry, the unit continues this legacy of innovation and compassionate care.
Your new role:
Working alongside a supportive and passionate team, you will:
- Undertake assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment and interventions to support adults with complex mental health needs, as well as their families and carers.
- Provide high-quality nursing care to consumers across a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week roster.
- Work across AM, PM, night and weekend shifts.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
- A Diploma of Nursing (or equivalent), including a board-approved qualification in the administration of medicines.
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Well-developed assessment, clinical reasoning, problem-solving and prioritisation skills.
- Experience providing recovery-focused interventions and psychosocial, recovery-oriented rehabilitation to people with psychiatric disorders and complex nee
